Substances stabilized by temperature control to prevent the development of any dangerous excess pressure, or the evolution of excessive heat are not accepted for carriage by rail according to sub-section 3.1.2.6.

In the case of chemical stabilization, special provision 386 must also be observed.

When transporting a polymerizing substance for disposal or recycling, special provision 386 need not be met if the conditions of special provision 676 are met.

Special provisions 386 and 676 have been assigned to this substance for the Dangerous Goods database in addition to the special provisions in Table A of RID.

If, when transported in packagings or tanks, the substance has a self-accelerating polymerization temperature (SAPT) of more than 75C and a heat of reaction not exceeding 300 J/g, these special provisions need not be taken into account. BAM does not have any concrete values for this. It was therefore decided to list the special provisions here.
